HP LaserJet 2300L Printer Using Toner – Moderately Priced Prime Performer

Although many of the 2300 series have been discontinued by HP, the HP LaserJet 2300L printer still manages to be labeled a high-quality printer.  Obtaining replacement 2300L ink and toner remains easy.  It uses standard printing paper and is able to print up to 30,000 pages per month reliably. Using these numbers is a good way to establish a baseline for any printer.

The performance specifications for the 2300L include a factory-issue 32 MB of internal memory, expandable up to 288 MB. It has a 266 MHz processor, and at factory specifications it is capable of printing up to twenty pages per minute at 1,200 x 1,200 dpi which, compared to other models of the same caliber is still pretty average. Combine that with a total two-tray capacity of 1,700 pages and it is possible to print nonstop for well over an hour.

“If your printing media is always changing, then a versatile printer such as the 2300L just may fit your needs. You will be able to use the standard letter sized paper, envelopes, legal and executive paper for the office and enlarged sheets up to 8.5″” x 14″”. You can even use customized media sizes that are anywhere from 3″” x 5″” to 8.5″” x 14″”, which gives you an even wider range of printing media.”

“When comparing printers of similar statistics, the 2300L stands out with its physical size. It weighs in at 31.3 lbs, which is a great deal lighter than other printers. It will also fit easily on a large desk or within a small office with the dimensions of 16.2″” x 17.7″” x 15.6″”.”

Like many of the newer models, the HP LaserJet 2300L is backwards-compatible with older hardware. For older hardware there is the B-size bidirectional parallel port that allows connectivity. It also has the industry-standard USB 1.1 connectivity for newer desktops and laptops that are available in the market today. Also, both Macintosh and Windows operating system users will be able to use this printer as it is compatible with both.

When purchasing this HP printer, you will not only receive the printer but also all the necessary cables, a free LaserJet 2300L laser toner, documentation and software needed for the printer in CD-ROM format, support information, and a Startup Guide that will help you with the installation, maintenance, and usage of your new printer. If you need to adjust the dialect on the printer keys, then a control panel overlay can be included at your request. If your primary language or work environment is not English-based, then this can be a very useful tool.

The 2300L is affordable compared to the other members of its series. The 2300D, cheapest of the 2300s still in production, retails for $649.00, while the newer 2300dtn retails for a somewhat staggering $1,199.00. The 2300L, however, can be found on a store shelf for $470.00, or a refurbished one can be purchased in some places for less than $100, striking an excellent balance between performance and affordability.

While there are technically more advanced or more affordable printers on the market, the HP LaserJet 2300L printer strikes an excellent balance between the two. It is easily maintained and serviced, which helps reduce downtime and overhead costs. Whether you already own a 2300L or are in the market for a new printer, it is certainly worth a second look.

You’ll continue to decrease your performance costs with the HP LaserJet 2300L toner cartridge.  The quality of HP printer is well known, which means that HP toner, even for older models, is always available.  Finding replacement toner online is a smart move, considering the exceptional prices to be found.
