What Next? iPhone 4G Or Apple Tablet?

Wednesday, February 17th, 2010

Apple always seems to be in news- for gadgets/applications/products it manufactures and gadgets/products/applications it doesn’t make. Yes, there is always some speculation and rumors rising about Apple products. Like always, yet again there are rumors about two Apple products in making. First is the iPhone 4G (fourth generation) and the much awaited Apple Tablet.

Talks of Apple Tablet has been for long now, although many dismiss them as rumour. But nothing can be confirmed. There really might be a great Apple Tablet ready for its launch in the market. The specs that people have got the news about may be not right and we may get to see the Tablet with completely different specs from what is anticipated.

A brief glance at Apple Tablet and Apple iPhone 4G News

Apple Tablet:
So coming back to the current news, iPhone 4G and Apple Tablet are being anticipated to be out in 2010. As per what the news is, it will be Apple Tablet that the market will see in January 2010. Also, before it was being said that Apple Tablet will flaunt a 9.7 inch Screen but now it seems the screen has shrunk to a 7 inch screen. If it is 7 inch or 9.7 that we will know only once the real Tablet is out.

iPhone 4G
The iPhone 4G is contemplated to be seen in June last week in the coming year - 2010. And that this one is going to be a high resolution iPhone with a new OS.

Whether or not these products get introduced the market is unsure. And even more uncertain is when these will be come out. Untill then let’s wait to see what the next turn of rumor come with. Or you may check more updates and information on the topic here – High Resolution iPhone 4G or The Apple Tablet.

Dad gets a Sat Nav

Thursday, February 4th, 2010

The Sat Nav has such been purchased by my dad, I give the final verdict. He was perhaps a bit lucky as he managed to pick it up through his company, we have had several problems with the product though.

The product itself is fantastic, a brilliant idea for someone who doesn’t want to constantly pull over and read a map or listen to the wife telling you the wrong directions. The real problem is that it turns into your wife because if it makes a mistake it then blames you for it by saying turn around, turn around, turn around (you get the idea). There has even been an instance in which it attempted to lead us onto a road that wasn’t there.

Another bad yet amusing issue is that he insists on using it for everything, even the easiest of trips now take longer while we wait for he crazy Sat Nav woman to tell us the way. I

The Sat Nav is best used in foreign countries where you have no idea where to go at all. When you are in a foreign country it can be nice to be told the directions by somebody other than your wife or someone you do not understand.

Replacing them is not easy either which is why some form of Sat Nav Insurance will need to be taken out to avoid nasty replacement costs. Of course you could get gadget insurance as this actually sets out to cover you against other things like phones and games consoles. Sometimes you do not need to take out that extra mobile phone insurance

Unlocked iPhone Affacted With Virus

Thursday, December 24th, 2009

Someone rightly said that technology comes with a price. What else would you say if you someone told you that your cool gadgets that are supposedly there to make your life easier may someday cost you your privacy? Yes, posessing the so desired pretty looking iPhone may now not be all that comforting. Seriously - the iPhone’s that carry a lot of your stuff stored in it, may also carry a dreadful worm –iPhone/privacy A, that will sweep away your iPhones’ data. Be it any feature of the phone, contacts, messages, songs, videos, images and email conversations and all that you yourself are unaware your iPhone has. That’s something to worry about!

{Do not be surprised, its not the first the famous iPhone is is being attacked}. In the recent past there has been couple of such cases..

A brief look at past iPhone scandles related to the iPhone’s security

•    An iPhone developer had was sued for accessing iPhone owner’s email Ids.
•    Jailbroken iPhones were affected with ikee. However it didn’t get very very bad. (The ikee phenomenon attacks the jailbroken iPhone with SSH installed).

This may seem like owning an iPhone is dangerous!

Okay, for those who don’t know what jailbroken iPhone is, an iPhone or iPod touch is jailbroken or unlocked to allow for third party application installations.  And interestingly 5-8% of iPhones are jailbroken or unlocked.

But out there, there are a lot of people who enjoy using an unlocked iPhone. May be not now. And in case they still wish to flaunt a jailbroken or an unlocked iPhone, here is something they would like to read before getting into any trouble– Tutorials on How to Secure an iPhone from Worms/virus, Jailbreaking and attacks.

Hopefully, your iPhone remains safe, secure and guarded from any virus or worm or unsafe software that takes advantage of a jailbroken iPhone

Iphone Apps

Thursday, December 24th, 2009

So here it is, just some of the best apps that you can currently find on the iPhone. Some of them are made very well and for a useful purpose whereas others are just plain strange.

AroundMe

This is great for everyone who has an iPhone as it allows you to see things nearby that could be of a very good use to you indeed. This is great as it can show you things like hotels and hospitals which can really come in hand when you are stuck in somewhere you are not usre of. As well as all of this it is possible that it can show you movie theatres and bars and other leisure things.

Fake Call

This is something that could be very useful for people who have to attend a lot of dull meetings in which they need an excuse to get out of. The only thing that you need to do with this is set it up and it will call your mobile on your request via your mobile meaning it does not spend up credit or minutes. When you answer the call it will pop up to look like you are on a call to someone which is of course very nice for those meetings you need an excuse to get out of.

Red Laser

This app is useful for anyone who enjoys shopping round a bit to get the best prices. The great thing about this app is that there is hardly anyone who does not want to find anything for a cheaper price. It allows you to scan any barcode to check on cheaper prices elsewhere. Very useful for things like DVD’s and computer games as there are so many competitors out there.

Of course this is not going to help you if you drop the phone which is when you are going to need mobile phone insurance or perhaps even gadget insurance as this will cover you from other things too. On top of this why not look into insuring another one of your important gadgets by getting something like laptop insurance

Rock Out On The Iphone

Tuesday, December 22nd, 2009

Because people actually buy the iphone for the music power it has the app store has recently been bombarded with apps for the people that love specific forms of music and instruments. I only really got it so I would have a bit of room in my pockets, now I realise what an awesome phone I really have,.

There are now several different apps that are available to download for fans of Guitars as well as the fans of things like Rock Band. You can actally get a Rock Band app for £5.99 which is easily going to be a lot more expensive than if you were to pay for it in America. Although everything can be done on the app in the same way that it can be done in the console game, singing is done by tapping and not actually singing which is a bit of a shame. You can even pay a bit of extra cash to download a few extra songs like you can in the real game, more money for companies, woo.

However if you do not want to pay for this kind of thing, there are plenty of free apps but obviously you are not going to get something as good as the paid options. There are much cheaper options out there on the app store with many of them being just as good as the Rock Band one.

Fir fans of Acoustic Guitars or Electric Guitars then there are guitar tuning apps for you and most of which are actually free.

There are also many other apps out there that could involve quizzes and other bits of information,. Some of the quizzes are quite good as they ask you to name that guitar rift or provide a series of questions from rock history that you and your friends can compete in together over Wi-Fi access.

So if you fancy becoming a guitar god then why not look into the app store and look for something that might appeal to you.
